{"id":5213,"date":"2016-05-23T15:04:04","date_gmt":"2016-05-23T13:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trainingmaastricht.com\/?p=5213"},"modified":"2019-01-26T14:18:51","modified_gmt":"2019-01-26T13:18:51","slug":"rachel-quaedackers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trainingmaastricht.com\/cms\/rachel-quaedackers\/","title":{"rendered":"Rachel Quaedackers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-5224\" src=\"http:\/\/www.trainingmaastricht.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/05\/image1-e1464012788645-1024x563.jpg\" alt=\"image1\" width=\"600\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Ongeveer een jaar geleden werd er aan mij gevraagd of een halve marathon lopen, op een mooi paradijselijk eiland, misschien iets voor mij was.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Reizen doe ik graag dus naar dat mooie eiland had ik wel oren\u2026.maar een halve marathon??<br \/>\nMijn sportieve leven was al een aantal jaar op sterven na dood.<br \/>\nEen gezin, een drukke baan, de bekende smoesjes.<br \/>\nMaar ik hou van een uitdaging op zijn tijd en besloot, lekker impulsief, om me in te schrijven. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maar HOE ga je 21,1km hardlopen? Een jaar geleden leek dat een bijna onmogelijke opgave.<br \/>\nEen eerste rondje rennen in de buurt gaf ook al \u00a0niet veel vertrouwen, na een half uurtje kon ik zowat aan de zuurstof, om over de spierpijn de dagen erna maar te zwijgen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dit ging niet werken en er was een andere aanpak nodig\u2026BOOTCAMP!<br \/>\nDoor de BootCamp, de goede begeleiding van Tunde en de steun van de groep zag ik in de loop van het jaar steeds meer vooruitgang.<br \/>\nEn vlak voor vertrek, ergens in april kreeg ik eindelijk het vertrouwen dat dit zou gaan lukken.<br \/>\nMaar wat was het spannend allemaal, zou het dan echt lukken die halve Marathon?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Daar ging ik dan, alleen, zonder mijn gezin op naar het avontuur. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En een avontuur was het!<br \/>\nEen prachtig eiland, lekker weer, een geweldige groep, allemaal ingredi\u00ebnten voor een geweldige tijd.<br \/>\nDe halve marathon zelf kwam dichter bij maar door de relaxte sfeer van Formentera verdwenen de zenuwen als sneeuw voor de zon. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Op de wedstrijddag zelf alleen maar genieten, this is it! <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ik heb 21km lang genoten, het uitzicht, de enthousiaste mensen aan de weg.<br \/>\nHet was zo magisch, dat ik geen pijn of vermoeidheid heb gevoeld.<br \/>\nDe hele weg heb ik een brede glimlach gehad, tot aan de finish, daar kwamen de emoties van een jaar lang trainen, met ups en downs, eruit!<br \/>\nHet ging niet om het behalen van een toptijd, of een record snelheid.<br \/>\nDit was een wedstrijd met mezelf!
